Choose the left

Phx has been doing a great job of making good choices lately and "choosing the right". A few nights ago Cory asked the kids to get their Jammies. Phoenix quickly ran into his room saying "I will get my jammies, I will choose the right!". Skylee gave Cory her sassy pants look and said "I choose the left." Classic Skylee.

Summer stuff

We had a family reunion in morgan Utah last week. Cory couldn't come b/c he has to go on high adventure next week :-(
We went to the Dino park, played in the hot tub, and played outside a lot! The kids loved it but they were exhausted!
The next pics are from settler's park. It's huge and has a splash park and there are always about a million kids there.

Hawk's Kid's Club Camp

Phoenix LOVES the Hawk's baseball team, and loves going to their kid's camp every year. He broke his toe last week, hence the boot. Here are some pics from this year:

How could I forget?!!!

I had LASIK surgery in January and I love it! I have 20/15 vision these days. Amazing!
Also, I surprised Cory for his bday with a weekend trip to Seattle for a Mariner's/Angels game. It was a lot of fun. We went to the game, of course, but we also did Pike Place, the Waterfront, hiking at Discovery Park, and the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. Look 'em up if you're not familiar with them. They're so fascinating.  We ate at Ivar's, a local seafood place and loved it. I will have to post a pic of the calamari I had.  My parents watched the kids for us. It was a great weekend!! Portland: "Where young people go to retire"

We went to Portland last month. Our first family trip with out mine or Cory's parents. It was so fun! Our kids were awesome in the car, and such troopers with no naps. Highlights of the trip: Multnomah Falls, the Oregon Zoo and the Washington Park Zoo train, feeding the seagulls at the beach in Seaside, feeding the seals at the Seaside Aquarium, tide pools at Cannon Beach, and of course, Voodoo donuts! PHX got the "gingerbread boy" donut (the vudu doll). Better than the one that he thought was a "Y", but was actually a male body part. Awkward. 

 If you ask the kids, though, the highlight of their trip was swimming in the pool at the hotel.

Alone I can Barely Light A Match

So I obviously haven't blogged much lately, and here is why: Thing1 and Thing 2.

There is a song called "Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die"  by a band called Four Year Strong. In that song, there is a line that says "Sad enough to say that alone I can barely light a match, but together we can burn this place down."  That line exactly describes my two hooligans. Alone, they are both perfect. Together, they make insane amounts of mischief. I literally can't step out of the room when they are together. If I do, I will come back to toys/clothes stuffed down the heating vents, kids on the counter using the kitchen sink sprayer to spray every thing in the kitchen (or to put more water in the fish's bowl), a whole box of cereal dumped out on the kitchen floor ("I was getting some cheerios for Skylee", says Phoenix), a rubber ducky down the toilet, all of the sheets/blankets/mattress pad off Phoenix's bed, or Skylee's entire mattress off of her bed. I could go on....  Anyway, here are some more random (as usual) pictures of the cutest monsters on the block.
